FCCLA stands for the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. This organization helps provide students with opportunities for growth and development in terms of personal, leadership and career goals within the scope of Family and Consumer Sciences education.
The Page County High School chapter of FCCLA is proud to announce that 18 young men and women from our chapter will represent Virginia at the National Star Events competition in Anaheim, CA this July. Our members won their individual competitions at the state level in Virginia Beach this Spring. The cost is about $1700.00 per student to attend the National competition.
Micah Howan and Emma Sellers will be representing PCHS FCCLA tonight with the 50/50 raffle. Micah and Emma have both been members of FCCLA for 4 years, competing in the State and National competitions all 4 years. They have been to San Diego, CA, Nashville, TN, and Atlanta, GA. Without FCCLA they may have never had the opportunity to have such wonderful experiences and make such awesome memories. We would like to say a huge “Thank You” to the FCS (Family Career Sciences) teachers, PCMS – Ginny Miller and PCHS – Bobbi Comer for everything you do and your dedication to the chapter. Also, a huge “Thank You” to Shenandoah Speedway and Patsy Miller for allowing us to be here and supporting our youth. We are truly blessed to have such a supportive community! ... See more
